C.S. Lewis once said, “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose. It is even doubtful, you know, whether the whole universe was created for any other purpose.”
If Lewis is right, it begs the question: Are we becoming little Christs? This Sunday, we’ll explore the origins of the term “Christian” and what it truly means to bear that name.

Joel Beeke once said, “In essence, sin is all that is in opposition to God.” Martin Luther put it this way: “Sin fails to let God be God.” And R.C. Sproul famously said, “Every act of sin is cosmic treason — a futile attempt to dethrone God in His sovereign authority.”
When you hear those words, who comes to mind?
The moral collapse of our culture?
The unbelieving world shaking its fist at heaven?
The obvious rebellions “out there”?
Or your own heart?
Acts 11 refuses to let us sit back as spectators of someone else’s treason. It confronts us with a sobering reality: sometimes it is not the pagan world that most resists the advance of God — it is God’s own people.

How often do we forget the mighty power of our God? In a world divided and filled with pain - a world that sometimes brings us to our knees -can we honestly admit that doubt creeps in? That we begin to wonder whether God is still moving …whether His gospel is still advancing …whether His grace still reverberates outward?
As you prepare for worship this Sunday, ask the Lord to open your eyes - to see His power, to behold His glory, and to trust in the everlasting reverberation of His grace.

What changes am I resistant to making? What rooms in my heart am I guarding at the door to keep Christ out? Am I willing to give way to God’s leading—not just for myself, but for the sake of the world?

We end our series with one of the greatest stories in all of Christendom—the conversion of the greatest opponent of Christ himself. Join us as we gather in awe of His grace!
