Most people want to be the kind of people that persevere through hardship, pain, and toil, but few desire the circumstances that cultivate that kind of grit. It’s interesting that James bookends his letter with the theme of suffering. Why? What does he want us to take away? Pray for the Spirit’s leading as you come to worship this Sunday.
