Before his ascension, Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem “for the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4). Whether birthday gifts or Christmas presents, no one likes to wait for gifts. But the disciples had to wait, and it was worth it! For on the day we know as Pentecost, God opened the floodgates of heaven and poured out His Spirit with supernatural power.
