NOAH’S LANDING

Noah’s Landing is for nursery aged children during Sunday School (beginning at 9:45am) and for our 11:00am service! Parents, please bring your child their own labeled sippy cup/bottle. For the health and safety of all our families, please keep children with a temperature above 100.4, colored drainage, or who just don’t feel well, at home.

Visiting Westminster and have a child birth - rising pre-K age? You are able to save some time on Sunday morning and pre-register for Noah’s Landing here:

Children

Westminster’s Children's Ministries (WCM) provides a safe environment where children are invited to know and love God, His Word, and one another. Teachers engage children through storytelling and invite the children to explore its Biblical truth together. We desire to cultivate a generation passionate for the hope of Christ and the glory of God. We’re so happy to have your children join us and look forward to getting to know them – and you!

What ages is WCM for?

We are Pre-K to 5th grade, and to keep things aligned with school, our minimum age requirement policy at Westminster is as follows: Child MUST be 4 (four) years of age ON OR BEFORE September 1st of the current school year (in accordance with the Georgia Department of Education) to be eligible for participation in Children’s Programs.

When do you have WCM and what do you do?

We have fun with each other while learning about Jesus and how much He loves us! We play games, sing worship songs, pray together, and learn! Below is when and how we do that…

Wednesday Nights

5:30 to 6:00 pm – Drop-off/Sign-in/Arrival/Play Time*

6:00 to 6:25 pm – Music and the BIG idea

6:25 to 6:45 pm – Dinner

6:45 to 7:30 pm – Small Group time

7:30 pm – Pick-up/Sign-Out/Dismissal

Sunday Morning Sunday School

Sunday Morning Children’s Church

After Sunday School, kids go to the service with their parents to participate in worship. Following the offering an adult will lead them from the service to the Children’s Church room to learn things a little more on their level. Pre-k - 1st graders are welcome in Children's Church. Kids 2nd grade and older get to enjoy the sermon in the Sanctuary with their parents.

11:25ish to 12:00ish (the “ish” is because these times aren’t exact…depends on the sermon that day!)

What if I have more questions?

Wednesday Night Kids Catechism Classes – New City Catechism curriculum

“Children are constantly learning. Their inquiring minds soak up information at a spectacular rate. They are trying to make sense of a complex and ever-changing world, seeking to acquire the skills to survive – and even thrive – in life. As they learn, a framework of understanding is established in their minds. This is called a worldview. It is a thrilling and great responsibility to raise children and shape their understanding of the world, how it works, and their unique purpose in it. To catechize children is to give them a coherent and extensive system of thought that equips them to confidently interpret the world and their experiences in the world through a biblical framework. It also nurtures in children a love for and understanding of the essential doctrines for the Christian faith. To catechize children is to lay the deep and strong biblical foundations for a lifetime of faith.” Excerpt from the Introduction to The New City Catechism curriculum.

Sunday School/Children’s Church Classes – The Biggest story bible storybook

“The Bible is a BIG book about the BIGGEST story. Each page tells about the God who created the world, acted in history, and continues to act in the present. In The Biggest Story Bible Storybook, pastor Kevin DeYoung shares this grand story with children ages 6–12 through 104 short chapters.

Beginning in Genesis and ending with Revelation, DeYoung provides engaging retellings of various Bible stories, explaining how they fit into the overarching storyline. Each reading is coupled with beautiful illustrations by award-winning artist Don Clark and concludes with a reflective prayer. Perfect for bedtime stories or to read together as a family, both children and parents alike will experience afresh the captivating story of the Bible in an easy-to-understand, compelling way.”-from Crossway website

We also have copies of Long Story Short: 10 Minute Devotions to Draw Your Family to God for any parent that wants one! These go along with the curriculum and you can follow along or go at your own pace.
