Our vision is that Westminster will be a place where the hearts of
our children are pointed to Christ in all that we do. Our ministry
volunteers are here to Shepard our kids so that they might come to
know, love, and reflect the grace and truth of Jesus to those around
them.
Here at Westminster we recognize the great responsibility that parents
have of teaching and bringing children up to know Jesus Christ as
their Savior. We believe that our primary responsibility is to support
parents as they teach and train their children. In order to reach
this goal we offer a variety of children's classes and activities.
A nursery is provided by church member volunteers and is available
for children 0-3 years of age during both worship services and Sunday
school.
Children's Sunday school is available for children 4 years of age
through 6th grade. This is a rime of Bible instruction with an emphasis
on practical application and scripture memory.
Children's church is available during the 11:00 worship service for
children ages 4 and 5. Children join their families during the first
part of the service and are dismissed at the beginning of the sermon
for their own special message.
This mid-week program is available for children ages k-4 through 6th
grade. During this time children are divided into age appropriate
groups where they learn God's word while enjoying new friendships
and fun activities.
Children's choir is offered as a part of our Wednesday night program
for children agesk-4 through 5th grade. Our children have the opportunity
to sing and lead worship periodically throughout the year.
The Children's ministry at Westminster is enhanced by a large number
of volunteers. We deeply value their commitment to the cause of Christ
as they selflessly minister to the children of this church family
and this generation.
